Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Procedure Overview

This treatment consists of the actual removal of the vein branches. Tiny incisions are made along the affected veins under local anesthesia and using special instruments the veins are removed. The incisions are closed with a special tape or a tiny stitch and a compression bandage is placed over the treated areas. Phlebectomy treatment is usually done secondary to RFA or EVLA.
